Thin Ice: Irene Hannon

Posted by lolamak on

Irene Hannon is a new-to-me author, and she definitely has a new fan in me! I don’t usually read a lot of suspense novels – mostly because I’m easily freaked out. But I have to say I really enjoyed Thin Ice – a modern day thriller about a former figure skater, the FBI agent assigned to her case, and the mystery that unfolds over the pages.

Character and plot development were both really well done. I found myself drawn into the story, not wanting to put the book down, which is the number one sign that I really like a book.

Irene Hannon is a compelling writer, but what I appreciate the most is her thoughtful commentary on the brokenness in our world. There is evil that affects the lives of so many people when someone is apart from God, and it’s disturbing … but it doesn’t get the final say in the life of a follower of God.

Thin Ice reminded me that God works all things together for good for those who love Him, even when life looks dark and hopeless. And it definitely made me want to pick up another one of her novels very soon. Grab your copy today!
